High Performance. Sustainable Systems.

Elevate Performance Partners helps athletes, teams, and organizations perform sustainably without sacrificing connection or wellbeing.

Meet our Founder

Leader · Performance Psychologist · Systems Thinker

Dr. Kirsten Cooper, PsyD, CMPC, is a performance psychologist, leadership strategist, and the founder of Elevate Performance Partners. Her work sits at the intersection of human psychology, high-stakes performance, and systems design, shaped not only by academic training, but by lived experience inside elite performance environments.

Before supporting performers in their pursuits, Kirsten lived the pressure firsthand.

As a professional alpine ski racer with the U.S. Alpine Ski Team, she trained and competed in environments where performance margins were razor thin and expectations were relentless. She experienced what focus, resilience, and commitment truly demand and what happens when performance systems push results without accounting for the human nervous system sustaining them.

A career-altering injury forced an unexpected transition out of elite sport. Rather than stepping away from performance, Kirsten leaned deeper into understanding it.

She pursued advanced training in psychology, earning a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s degree in Performance Psychology, and later becoming a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC). Her clinical and applied work sharpened a core insight that now defines Elevate’s work.

Today, Kirsten works across high-performance environments: with athletes and coaches navigating elite sport, leaders building organizations under real pressure, and through educational academies designed to shift how we develop performance capacity from the ground up.

Her approach blends:

  • Evidence-based psychology and performance science.

  • First-hand experience inside elite, high-pressure systems.

  • Ecological thinking that treats performance culture as a living system, not a set of behaviors to "fix".

Rather than offering insight alone, Kirsten builds repeatable systems that teams and organizations can sustain themselves, whether that's a national team integrating mental skills, a leadership group navigating rapid growth, or coaches learning to create environments where athletes develop without breaking down.

She also designs educational programs for coaches, parents, and athletes, teaching the principles that make high performance sustainable for the entire system.

The goal isn't dependence on a consultant. It's internal capability.

At Elevate Performance Partners, Kirsten's work helps replace extraction-based performance with systems built on clarity, connection, and regulation so people don't just perform well, but stay well while doing it.

This work is grounded in a simple belief: High performance should enhance life, not deplete it.

We empower individuals, teams, and organizations to perform at their highest level by cultivating resilient minds, connected cultures, and sustainable systems of excellence.

A world where high performance is human-centered where people thrive, teams flourish, and success is measured not only by outcomes, but by well-being, integrity, and long-term impact.

Our Values:

Human-Centered Excellence: We prioritize people, not just performance.

Resilience & Adaptability: We build capacity for growth through challenge and support.

Integrity & Accountability: We align values with action.

Connection & Belonging: Strong relationships drive strong results.

Evidence-Based Practice: Science informs everything we do.

Sustainable Success: Performance should enhance life, not deplete it.
